FineFish Collective Research Project
Improving sustainability of European fish aquaculture by control of malformations. AquaSearch ova represents the trout farmers in the project which aims to generate new practical knowledge on how to reduce the incidence of malformations in the major fish species used in European aquaculture production and to apply this to the professional sector.
Strategies to improve health and welfare in rainbow trout farming
Technical University of Denmark, DTU Aqua, National Institute of Aquatic ResourcesThis project will contribute to the innovation of Danish food production by developing sustainable strategies that improve the health, welfare and quality of cultured rainbow trout.
The project will comprise three interrelated approaches: management, immuno-prophylactics, and selective breeding.
