AquaSearch Farm - FAARUP MOELLE
Faarup Moelle has a long history of eyed egg production and is located in the middle of Jutland, 10 km from Vejle.
The farm manager is Theis Bue Christensen, 28. Theis has experience from a lot of different farm lay outs, he finished his education as fish manager in 2000 and has been employed in AquaSearch since then.
The production is based purely on spring water and brood stock fish are reared in earth ponds. The rainbow trout at Faarup Moelle is known for the natural spawning period beginning around around midsummer and this characteristic combined with photo period manipulation make it possible to have eggs available already from the month of July. A family breeding programme plays an integral part in the production. The Faarup Moele strain is naturally spawning during the autumn months.

AquaSearch Farm - Fousing Dambrug
Fousing is situated nearby the town Struer in the north western part of Jutland and has been run as a brood stock farm for many years. A traditional Danish earth pond farm, with airlifts and partly recirculation to secure oxygen and water quality.
Nearly year round availability is achieved by a combination of early and late season spawners as well as photo manipulation.
The farm is run by the very experienced farm manager Tommy Johansen, 42 who was educated from the Danish Center of Wild Salmon, a restocking farm for wild salmon. Tommy has been incharge of Fousing since he finished his education as fish manager in 2000.
Fousing consists of earth ponds supplied with spring water. Airlifts and recirculationof the water is used to meet the oxygen requirements.
Nearly year round availability is achieved by the family breeding programme combined with photo period manipulation of the brood stock. Fousing holds a very high brood stock biomass, which makes it possible to comply with requirements for large batches of eyed eggs.
